The Gatherers by April Matisz interprets the Greek aphorism “know thyself” as a call to understand our species’ entanglement with our planet.
April’s jewel tone collages show stylized figures entangled in acts of gathering life-sustaining essentials, and an understanding of humanity’s place as part of our world.
