The Future for St. Albert Place

Located at 5 St. Anne Street, St. Albert Place has become the cultural and civic hub in the heart of the city. 2024 marks the 40th anniversary of the opening of St. Albert Place. It also marks the beginning of a lifecycle and facility repair project for the building that is anticipated to take place in phases until 2026. It will address the building’s structure, mechanical and electrical operating systems, and upgrades to support energy efficiency and accessibility so that we can all enjoy the building for many more years to come.

What to expect in Phase 1:

• 470 solar panels installed on the roof

• Replacement of 90 per cent of the facility’s lighting with LED lighting

• Electrical operating systems replacement and upgrades (includes fire alarm upgrades, data and communication systems upgrades)

• Mechanical operating systems replacement and upgrades (includes HVAC upgrades, replacing air handling units and radiant heaters, duct cleaning)

• Localized roof repairs and replacement

• Sky light replacement
