Arts and Heritage Foundation St. Albert
Spring – Kids Clay
Ages: 3–8 (Parented Program)
Location: Pottery Studio, St. Albert Place
Our pottery instructors guide an adult and child team to create a clay project together. Classes start with studio safety, how to use a variety of clay tools and how to construct basic shapes. Follow structured steps provided by our instructor, to help your child make a clay project or allow your child to explore, play and make a mess!
We encourage all levels of learning through clay play and will ensure that your final sculpture is well built and able to withstand kiln firing.

"We enjoyed the comfortable, welcoming atmosphere and received great instruction. Loved it!"
"I loved that Heather came around and asked each of us what we wanted to get out of that class. Then she did demos each class based on that."
"The program brought together an excellent group of people with different levels of treaty knowledge. I loved how Celina approached topics with openness and empathy. Her discussion of the generational impacts of residential schools was very moving. Additionally, her sharing of her family’s oral histories of negotiating and signing treaties was eye-opening."
