The Great Depression (in-Person)

Grade(s): 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12

Location: St. Albert Grain Elevators

Program Delivery: In-Person

Duration: 1.5 Hours

Volunteers:

Using the historic 1929 grain elevator as our backdrop as well as archival photos and stories from the era, students learn how farming areas like St. Albert were affected by the depression. Activities include writing in pen and ink, playing a collaborative board game and visiting the historic grain elevators.
