Kathy Aldous-Schleindl lives in Edmonton, Alberta and is a Nature Sketch Educator for the Robert Bateman Foundation and an Instructor for the Art Gallery of St. Albert. Kathy’s own practice includes working in fabric, acrylics, watercolours, and oils. Kathy holds a Bachelor of Design degree from the Emily Carr University of Art & Design, Vancouver and also earned a Certificate in Web Design from Calgary’s SAIT in 2016.
Kathy has been teaching art for more than a decade in Alberta and in the United States. While living in Los Angeles, she became a member of the Society of Illustrators of Los Angeles and continues now as an International member. Kathy’s work has been exhibited in Canada and the US. Marmalade Shop offers handmade, one-of-a-kind textile creations in corporating her colourful and artistic designs.
