Speaker Series #3: Dawn Marie Marchand and Keith Callihoo – Cultural Appropriation
Join us for the third and final talk in our speaker series for the exhibition Body Language: Reawakening Cultural Tattooing of the Northwest, featuring Dawn Marie Marchand and Keith Callihoo. Dawn Marie Marchand is Cold Lake First Nation. A Cree and Metis Contemporary Aboriginal Artist and art activist, she will be speaking about her experience with cultural appropriation in the art world. Keith Callihoo is Mohawk/ Metis, Michel First Nation Treaty 6, a visual artist and cultural tattoo practitioner. He will be sharing his views on his own practice and the cultural appropriation of Indigenous tattoo imagery.
